Scope
We completed the engineering design, procurement, contract management, construction management and handover of the upgraded facilities. In addition, onsite engineering support was provided throughout the three constructions phases, including design amendments and technical queries, completed in-house.
Outcome
This major upgrade for an operational site required careful planning, coordination and communication with a large number of stakeholders. Value engineering exercises were completed during the design review phase of the project, which yielded significantly cost savings, and included a redesign of the alignment on the final stage to further reduce quantities and construction costs. All site activities were completed safely with no lost time injuries and with no significant operational issues.
