Scope
The scope is the multi-discipline design for the installation of permanent winches and GTU mass isolation points to reduce potential downtime, improve reliability and shutdown efficiency and improve safety.
There are multiple sites with differing configurations and different levels of as-built design information. This required tailoring designs to suit specific site requirements, whilst maintaining standardisation as far as possible.
Outcome
The GTU’s often had constricted space and access for required configuration changes and limited shutdowns which required bespoke brownfield design solutions.
Sedgman Onyx engaged with multiple stakeholders to develop safe, compliant and cost-efficient GTU upgrade solutions. The knowledge gained was applied and improved upon during the overall GTU upgrade program.
