Brockman 4 Dewatering – Phase One and Two
Sedgman Onyx was commissioned to complete a scoping study, engineering design, procurement, contracts and construction management for the Brockman 4 Dewatering – Phases one and two.
Mining operations require continual dewatering to allow mining to continue. The life-of-mine plan for Rio Tinto’s Brockman 4 mine indicated that one of the pits would need to be mined below water table. The other pit dewatering systems also required upgrading to allow mining to progress in line with the mine plan.
