Overview

We were responsible for the following materials handling design:

  • New 8.4 km overland conveyor including tie-ins
  • Crusher relocation and new crusher area
  • High and low voltage electrical infrastructure.

Sedgman Onyx also completed the NPI facilities design including:

  • Wastewater treatment
  • Oily water separation plant
  • Potable water treatment plant
  • Heavy and light vehicle wash bay and fuel bay
  • Workshop, gate house and emergency services building
  • Production offices and storage facility
  • Roads and parking
  • Fire water and service water pumping / distribution
  • Area lighting, CCTV, security and access control.

Sedgman Onyx completed the DFS for the crusher relocation within six months, approximately one third of what a project of this size and complexity would historically require. This expedited schedule was achieved through reduced deliverables, a collaborative relationship with the client, and a highly experienced and dedicated team.

We also successfully completed the crusher relocation and conveyor commissioning within a seven-day shutdown without any clashes or issues.

The NPI project was also successfully designed and constructed, with Sedgman Onyx field support to support construction and commissioning.
